Our Philosophy
THE HOUSE / THE PHILOSOPHY
NOT MADE TO FIT IN.
MADE TO TAKE UP SPACE.
We don't design for the perfect body. We design for the freedom to exist in yours.
01 / SILHOUETTE OVER SIZE
For too long, fashion has treated measurements as a verdict. We think a size label should be information, not an instruction about how your body is allowed to look.
Divine Disob3dienc3 starts with a different question: How do you want to take up space? Maybe it's a sleeve that falls past your wrist, a sculptural shoulder, trousers that pool at the ankle, or a shirt so oversized it almost swallows you whole. Drape, movement, proportion and volume are forms of expression. You get to choose yours.
That's why our Mystery Tee Club begins with your usual size, then asks how you actually want the shirt to fit: Cozy, Comfy, Loose, Extra Loose or Swallow Me. Your measurements help us make the garment. Your vision determines the silhouette.
02 / INSPIRED BY EXPRESSION
Our visual world takes inspiration from Harajuku street style, Japanese experimentation with form, European approaches to construction and silhouette, and the ways Crow (Apsáalooke) people have expressed identity and creativity through dress and adornment.
We acknowledge these as distinct cultural and design references, not interchangeable aesthetics. Divine Disob3dienc3 is an independent label, not a producer of traditional Crow clothing or an affiliate of the Crow Nation. We aim to appreciate influence without claiming someone else's cultural work as our own.
03 / RECLAIM. RECONSTRUCT. REIMAGINE.
There is possibility in what already exists. For our reconstructed and patchwork pieces, we work with reclaimed and recycled fabrics, and we source thrifted and secondhand pieces where possible. A worn garment can become a new silhouette. A fabric remnant can become the most interesting part of a design.
We also curate new and supplier-sourced fashion. Not every item in our shop is reclaimed or sustainably produced. We believe transparency matters, so we distinguish original creations, reconstructed work, secondhand discoveries and curated pieces rather than treating the entire catalog as one thing.
04 / EXPRESSION OVER CONFORMITY
Our collections aren't about fixing bodies, obeying trends or flattering someone else's idea of perfection. They're about finding the shape, texture and contradiction that feel like you.
Soft and severe. Delicate and distressed. Structured and fluid. An everyday piece with an unreasonable silhouette. Clothing for the person you are and the person you're becoming.
OUR MISSION
To redefine fashion through freedom of silhouette, creative self-expression and thoughtful reinvention, so people can choose how they occupy space without asking permission.
Your body is not the problem to solve. Your silhouette is yours to create.
